we moved

Um...hello? (hellohellohello)

Is this thing on? (onononon)

anybody here from portland? Cause that's where I'm from, well in a sort of round about way.
you know via san diego, guatemala, chicago, santa barbara, boston, nashville, new york, nashville sort of way.

we sold our sweet 1880's farmhouse with those awesome wood floors, and those cool beams coming in through the ceilings. our stairs were super steep up to the second floor and only one person could go up and down them at a time. we had an old clawfoot tub, and the house kind of leaned a little to the right. you'd spill water upstairs and it would tumble towards the corner of the room.

it was great and big.

the yard was nice too. i mowed it every week in the spring and summer. let it be in the winter. and fall.

it was the place that we brought riley home too. she spent her first year and half in that house. i wonder what will happen to it.

when we were selling it, we found out an old lady was killed in the house by a serial killer. i guess portland's a breeding ground of sorts.

i thought what a neat story that would make. what a great conversation piece. skyla cried.

we sold it and moved into a little two bedroom condo. with a gym and pool. it was way cheaper since we don't actually own any land, just the air that lives between the walls. it's nice and comfy. no yard to mow, but i get out and run. the pools nice. i like it. we feel more like a family. and riley can run on the carpet and chloe's dog hair isn't in little clumps in the corner of the hardwood. it's all comfortably hidden within the carpets loving arms. thanks carpet.

so, i'm from portland now. i hear kevin is out here somewhere. we were going to play basketball once, but i read in a blog somewhere that he lost his phone. hey kevin, call me bud!

anyone going to homecoming? want to rent a house with us? so come visit us in God's country my friends. riley would love to meet you all.

That is CRAZY about the serial killer. (unless you are joking, which I feel like is totally possible with you) I'm glad you didn't find out until you were about to leave. And I'm glad you're snug as a bug in the new place; it sounds nice. Viva la Portland! You live in one of the only states without a nuclear power plant--you will all live to be old & wise.
