Life is precious; relationships are also precious. You are right to want to have "the old" meet "the new". For God made us, not islands of individuality, but as parts of a whole. We are called one body in Christ (the church universal) but we are many varying parts: diversity cooperating in unity so that together we glorify God. Your thots reflect your love and care. Bunca has been a wonderful grandma to you kids. She has loved you well, and you will have fond and precious memories. May those memories both comfort and guide you into the future threshold of parenthood. Thank-you for inspiring me through your writing... Keep writing.

Hey Benj.

I'm really sorry to hear about your Grandma. That is so sad. As you know, my Grandma is going through the same thing. We don't know if she will make it two months or two more years, but the doctors say that it is bad. Call me if you need to talk about it. I'll be praying for your family.

Sam

Thank you so much for your comments and i have taken them to heart. It's just weird going through something that is inevitable and a part of life. i've seen it before with friends, but have never really experienced the thought of a loved one passing on. your right mom, she is a wonderful grandmother and the memories that i have will always be with me in the way i talk about her to skyla or to our ungendered(is that a word?) child. Just wanted to thank all of you.
